He covers His hands in lightning and commands it to hit its mark. "Can you send out lightning bolts and they go? Do they report to you, Here we are?" Job 36:32, 38:35
For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
I was out in a thunderstorm monday night. Standing in the middle of it all PraisingThe Great God for being so merciful. Rain is a tangible sign of The Savior's loving care. It seems that lightning bolts and you and I have something in common. Created by Him. Called by Him. Sent out by Him and we too am told to hit our mark. You will never look at a storm the same way again. In Job 37:12-13 we are told He sends storms for 3 reasons: for punishment; for His land (it all belongs to Him); and for His faithful love.
When He sends a storm, ask yourself which one of those 3 apply to you. Keeping in mind that He tells us. "I will honor those who honor Me but those who despise Me will be disgraced."
1 Samuel 2:30
Any way you look at it as His children , His witnesses and His messengers we are made for the storm, so He can show Himself to be the beauty, calm and only safe place in the storm. Enjoy the rest He reserves for you today. Mark 4:35-41, Isaiah 11:10
