Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I stand up; You understand my thoughts from far away. You observe my travels and my rest; you are aware of all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, You know all about it, Lord. You hem me in behind and before, You have placed Your hand on me. This extraordinary knowledge is beyond me. It is lofty, I am unable to reach it. (Truly understand and take it in)
Psalm 139:1-6
For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Neither are they all children because they are Abraham's descendants. That is, it is not the children by physical descent, who are God's children but the children of the promise are considered His. Romans 9:6-8
The Savior reminds us that a tree is known by what kind of fruit it bears. I need to inspect the fruit, my thoughts, words and actions, to know how others see Him because of me. As you can see there is no getting away with anything and physical heritage means little without a close walk with The Savior, definately worth remembering. My mouth will always speak from what is in my heart, this is why we crowd Jesus so He will crowd us and keep us clean inside and out.
