Life's Greatest Focus Fixer

This is what The Lord says: If the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below explored, I will reject all Israel's descendants because of all they have done.
Jeremiah 31:37, Isaiah 64:6
For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Neither are they all children because they are Abraham's descendants... It is not the children of physical descent who are God's children, but the children of The Promise are considered seed.
Romans 9:6-8
When God speaks, the wise and discerning will listen and take it to heart. A few things to know: The heavens will NEVER be fullly explored. Israel's descendants, that's you and I, can never hope to earn our place with Him by our own efforts or lineage. Just like the wedding in Matthew 22, we can only join the celebration wearing the garments that He alone provides. Knowing that nothing we do on our own is good enough to make us acceptable to The Savior, is very offensive to many. This is why He reminds us, "If anyone is not offended because of Me, he is blessed." I love knowing I have so very little control over most things in life. Conversely though it makes me bubble with excitement knowing that ALL THINGS SERVE HIM. Learn to rest in your Father's care and plans for you. As John Newton gratefully acknowledged when he finally understood this, "His plans for me and my best interests are inseperable." Knowing Him and treasuring Him is Life's greatest focus fixer. Life is too short and precious to live with our focus skewed. In Dante's inferno, as they view the gates of hell, a sign is fixed overhead that states, "All who enter herein, abandon all hope."
Job 36:19, John 1:10-13
