Making It Count

To please the commanding officer, no one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of everyday life. Also if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. It is the hardworking farmer who ought to be the first to get a share of the crops. Consider what I say for The Lord will give you understanding in all of this.

2 Timothy 2:4-7

For this is what The Lord said to me with great power to keep me from going the way of this people: Do not call everything an alliance that these people say is an alliance. Do not fear what they fear, do not be terrified. You are to regard ONLY The Lord of Hosts as holy. ONLY HE should be feared; Only He should be held in awe. He will be a sanctuary; But for the two houses of Israel, He will be a stone to stumble over, a rock to trip over, a trap and a snare. Many will stumble over these; they will fall and be broken; They will be snared and captured.

Isaiah 8:11-15

One of The Savior's greatest gifts to us is allowing us to choose our own destiny and heritage for eternity. He gives us the information we need and the ability to choose correctly, if we come to Him on His terms. Again many are offended that His way is THE ONLY WAY. You are not one of them or you would not be reading this. I always stand with those who stand for and with Him. His way is indeed the HIGH WAY. He has given you a life to live, so... make it count. And yes, He will give you understanding in all of this. I use my father King David's prayer in Psalm 31:3 as my guide for this, "Since You are my Rock and my Fortress, (and yes He is indeed) for the sake of Your name, Lead me and guide me."

It costs you nothing to pray to Christ Jesus, but it will cost you everything if you don't.

Jude 1:3-4, Isaiah 30:18, 21

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
