They will be My people and I will be their God. I will give them one heart and one way so that for their good and for the good of their descendants after them they will fear (revere) Me always.
Jeremiah 32:39
Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction and many go through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life and few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
As a witness and messenger for Christ Jesus, I can be at odds with most people because they look at others and say they are following what they see as their road to salvation. Who am I to say they are wrong? Well, I am no one but pleasing The One I represent and standing up for The One who ALWAYS stands up for me outweighs everything else. Zephaniah dealt with this in His day, "Those who pledge loyalty to The Lord but also pledge loyalty to milcom (their king); and those who turn back from following The Lord or inquiring of Him." Zephaniah 1:5-6
One reason this way is difficult is due to the fact that I can seem narrow minded, arrogant and judgmental in saying that Christ Jesus is The Only way to salvation. As president barack obama recently said, "We need to tell these Christians to get off their high horse." I know who I work for, I know who I answer to and He is my first priority. My life and choices are absolutely between my Savior and myself but that decision affects everyone around me and will testify for me or against me when I see Him face to face. Living my life for Christ Jesus, leading a quiet life, minding my own business and working with my hands will send shock waves through all creation, allowing The Eternal One to do His work through you and I. Be the sign marking the One way road you know you should be. Be the sign on the gate that leads to life.
Isaiah 57:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
