At the first light of dawn the king got up and hurried to the lion's den. When he reached the den, he cried out in anguish to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of The Living God, has your God, whom you serve continually been able to rescue you from the lions. Then Daniel spoke with the king: "May the king live forever. My God sent His angels and shut the lions mouths. They haven't hurt me for I was found innocent before Him, also I have not committed a crime against you my king."
Daniel 6:19-24
Then Peter began to speak: In truth, I understand that God doesn't show favoritism, but in EVERY nation the person who reveres him and does what is right, is acceptable to Him.
Acts 10:34-35
When King Darius asked Daniel if The God He served continually rescued him, he couldn't see the most important part yet, Daniel's God, your God and mine, served Daniel continually also. Jesus tells us He did not come to be served but to serve... Don't get lost in this. God is Lord and master over ALL, just as The Savior told the disciples after He washed their feet, and yet He serves us. As always The Eternal One leads by example. Note also that Daniel spoke with the king, not to the king... once again showing another facet of the beauty of a relationship with The Savior, He wants to speak with you, not to you but if you force His hand, He will speak to you instead of with and you won't like that. I serve Him because I owe Him everything. Everyday I see, feel and know He is serving me, as I see, hear, taste, feel and am comforted by evidence of His love and service on my behalf because I am one of His. He also longs for a close relationship with you, do you long for a relationship with Him. keep this question in mind as He leads you through today. I serve Him with a sense of reverence, awe and gratitude. It is the ONLY proper response.
Romans 1:20, Exodus 33:11
