Nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name that The Lord's mouth will announce. You will be a glorious crown in The Lord's hand, and a royal diadem in the palm of your God. You will no longer be called Deserted, and your land will not be called desolate; Instead you will be called, 'My delight is in her' (Hephzibah) and your land will be, 'Married' (Beulah)... As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.
Isaiah 62:2-5
I saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: "Look, God's dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people and He will be their God."
Revelation 21:2-3
As Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, we know what God's plans are for His people, here the emphasis must stay on the lord's people. Who are The Lord's people? "Then Peter began to speak: "In truth, I understand that God doesn't show favoritism, but in EVERY NATION the person who reveres Him and does what He commands, is acceptable to Him." This is why when Joshua asked the Commander of The Lord's army if He was for them (Israel) or those in Jericho, His answer, "Neither", was suprising to Joshua and me as well, but only at first, after spending time with The Glorious, Eternal One I have heard this same counsel from Him years ago while in Beruit, Lebanon and many other times since. His desire is to live with His people forever. Christ Jesus was told that His mother and brothers were waiting to see Him... His response? "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?" Stretching His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in Heaven, that person is My brother, sister and mother."
Joshua 5:13-15, Acts 10:34-36
