Joshua did as Moses told him and fought against amalek, while Moses, Aaron and Hur went up on top of the hill. While Moses held up his hands, Israel prevailed but whenever he put his hand down, amalek prevailed. When Moses hands grew heavy, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat down on it. Then Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other, so that his hands remained steady until the sun went down and they defeated amalek.
Exodus 17:10-12
Some men came, carrying on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed. The tried to bring him in and set him down before Him. Since they could not find a way to bring Him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on a stretcher through the roof tiles into the middle of the crowd before Jesus...Jesus told the paralyzed man, "I tell you: Get up, pick up your stretcher and go home." Immediately, he got up, picked up what he had been lying on and went home glorifying God.
Luke 5:17-26
I love The Savior for inumerable reasons. We all have our own and I pray most of them are different. God provided Aaron and Hur, so through Moses, He could open a can of Whip Ass on amalek (representing those who hate God and His people). He is The Rock I rest on EVERY DAY. I love the quote: "I may tremble on The Rock, but The Rock Never trembles under me." He always provides the support we need to complete our assigned work. I love The paralyzed man's friends and I love The Savior who opened up yet another can of Whip Ass as He not only healed the paralytic but told him to carry his stretcher home, with a song and a shout...crushing the enemy's assult on God's image on earth. The enemy of our soul hates any and all forms of healing, comfort and rest. In Isaiah 14 we read, "it would not release the prisoners to return home", then we read in The Messiah's Jubilee, "He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives...to set free the oppressed." I have found all I need and more than I could ever want, in my Savior, Christ Jesus, He is my steady hands and He is my job well done.
Matthew 11:12, Isaiah 61:1-10
