Warped, Faulty... Fixed, Restored, True!

They rebelliously tested The Most High God, for they did not keep His decrees. They treacherously turned away, like their fathers; They became warped like a faulty bow.

Psalm 78:56-57

No, Lord! Peter said, For I have never eaten anything common and ritually unclean. Again, a second time, a voice said to him, What God has made clean, you MUST NOT call common or unclean. This happened three times.

Acts 10:11-15

I know a joy few can share, just call me Mr. Former faulty bow. I know the pain of being a failure and a huge disappointment to myself and others. Fortunately we serve The Savior who specializes in rebuilding, restoring and renewing the things that were devastated and of seemingly little use. Like toys on the island of misfit toys on Rudolf, did you remember that the king on that island went around the world and collected those that were rejected, unwanted and unloved. We all remember that part of our life. I just think it is so cool that even a movie about Christmas without a mention of The Messiah, had a perfect picture of the gospel message with The picture of The Lion of The Tribe of Judah.. The king was a lion, He wore a crown, after showing them love, they had worth and value, they were sent out with all the other toys, there were very few, just like us. As John Newton said, "How unspeakable our obligations to the grace of God!" he wrote to a friend, "what a privilege to be a believer! They are comparatively few." Because you are one of the few, as George Patton says, "Don't dig in, get out of your foxhole and advance." Most refuse but will you? When The Savior says, move, don't stay, when The Savior says stay, don't move. You cannot stay on the island, that is not where our work is. Being a former salty dog sailor, I love this quote, "A ship in a harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are made for." You are clean, fixed, restored and true. Enjoy as He leads.

Hosea 1:10, 2:23, John 10:11-18

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
