What misery that I have stayed in Meschech, that I have lived among the tents of Kedar! I have lived too long among those who hate peace. I am for peace; but when I speak they are for war.
Psalm 120:5-7
Blessed are the peacemakers because they will be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:9
I met a policeman this morning who was very enjoyable to spend time with. He had his policeman's card made like a baseball card. "The kids love it and it gets them talking to me, we need to stay on good terms with our youth. They need to know that a peaceful future depends as much on them as it does on us law enforcement officers." I told him that with The Savior and His angels accompanying them, they have nothing to fear and would set an example the kids would be proud and feel safe to follow with The Prince of Peace leading the way. David knew firsthand the devastating effect of choosing company poorly. A good friend of mine called that the 'High price of low living'. Good, Godly company enables us to bear good good fruit and know and share His peace. Abraham Lincoln asked, "When I make my enemy my friend, do I not destroy my enemy?" I am all for destroying the enemy of peace because as God reminds us through Paul, if we do not pray for those in authority, we are the enemies of and oppose His peace. He promises us a quiet and peaceful life. No downside there! You work for or you work against Him and His peace. Take your stand with The only peace maker who can actually make and keep real peace. Choose Christ and His Peace and reap the reward or choose and follow anyone but Christ Jesus and reap heartache, sorrow and indescribable sorrow.
Isaiah 9:6-7, Matthew 13:30
