I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest untill He establishes and until He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Isaiah 62:6-7
So he who had received the five talents, came and brought five more talents, saying he had earned five more talents by investing them. His Lord said to him, well done good and faithful servant, you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into and share your Master's joy.
Matthew 25:20-21
Went to visit a young man in a nursing home yesterday, he was paralyzed except for limited use of His left hand and could not talk. He wrote of his son who had been in the Marine Corps and was struggling to find his way in life. Suddenly he cried out and started sobbing, the pain and heartache were evident. He gets no visitors... until I was sent to Florida:) I sat with him, held his hand, prayed with him and gave him as big a hug as I could.
Later as I was leaving a building, I saw a woman I knew locking her door. I called to her and she jumped. I told her she was living right and there was nothing to be afraid because God always honors those who honor Him. I told her that when God says He protects us He hems us in 'behind' first. He's got your back. My wife asked why I had to turn everything into a sermon and not just say something small and move on. I just want to be faithful with the little I have been given. I remind The Lord of His promise each day and make mention of Him to any who care to listen, as I am told. I invest my little with the prayer that it will grow and multiply. I pray it blesses The One who continually blesses me. I want to share His joy with others and look forward to sharing it personally with Him.
Luke 18:8, Psalm 139:3-5
"You have the highest of human trusts committed to your care. May He who holds in His hands the destinies of nations make you worthy of this favor."
