God, do not keep silent, Do not be deaf, God, do not be idle. See how your enemies make an uproar; Those who hate You have acted arrogantly. They devise clever schemes against Your people; They conspire against Your treasured ones. They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation, so that Israel's name will no longer be remembered. For they have conspired with one mind, they form an alliance against You.
Psalm 83
At that time some people came and reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrafices. He responded, "Do you think that these Galileans were more sinful than all Galileans because they suffered these things? No, I tell you; Unless you repent you will all perish as well! Or those 18 that the tower of Siloam fell on and killed, do you think they were more sinful than all the people who live in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all perish as well!
Luke 13:1-5
In Romans, we are told that, "For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel", the thing that makes for a true Israelite is the condition and state of your heart and mind. John the Baptist said it best when he said, "And do not presume to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father, for I tell you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones! Even now the axe is ready to strike the root of the trees! Therefore every tree that doesn't produce GOOD fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire." The Nation of Israel will always be treasured in The Savior's eyes, so are His children, are you a member of His family, His household? Again, it is all about the 'F' word, your Focus. Who and what are you focused on throughout your day? Who and what dominates your daily thoughts and conversation? I watched The Savior reset a few men's focus on the beach yesterday, using yours truly. Our highest calling! :)
Joshua 5:13-14, Matthew 3:9-10
"But The Lord, the All Sufficient God, speaks and it is done. Let those who know Him and trust Him, be of good courage. He can give them strength according to their day."
