By My great strength and outstretched arm, I made the earth, the people and the animals on the face of the earth. I give it to anyone I please.
Jeremiah 27:5
From one man He has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has appointed their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live. He did this so they might seek God and perhaps they might reach out and find Him, though He is not far from from EACH ONE OF US. For in Him we live and move and have our being.
Acts 17:26-28
I find it both tragic and amusing that we, God's prize creation, either refuse to serve Him or trade Him out for someone or something else or ignore what He says and make our own plan of salvation. Jesus spoke in parables because He wanted people to reach out, search for and find Him. For years I sought, fought and pursued Him, convinced that He avoided me or simply hated me. The crushing, beautiful blow of surrender and the eternal embrace that followed happened when I realized He was pursuing me the whole time. He created me, formed me and made me. He cares for me, protects me and surrounds me. He is a wall of fire around me and He is the glory within me. When I walk, He guides me. When I sleep, He watches over me. When I wake, He speaks with me. I tell you this because He longs to do and be all of that and more for you. Reach out to Him this morning, as you do, you give to Him so He can give back to you.
Jeremiah 4:1-4, Romans 2:4-11
Everything about this Book is a blessing to mankind. Though it is hard for our narrow capacities to grasp it and take in its distinguishing excellences at one view, yet if we take a seperate survey of the doctrines and duties, the promises and threatenings, the prophesies and histories, which are contained therein, each of them will afford us an awful or a delightful prospect, with lessons for special improvement.
