You provided bread from heaven for their hunger; You brought them water from The Rock for their thirst. You told them to go in and possess the land You had sworn to give them. But our ancestors acted arrogantly; They became stiff necked and did not listen to Your commands.
Nehemiah 9:15
Jesus said, "I assure you Moses didn't give you bread from heaven, but My Father gives you The Real Bread from heaven. For The Bread of God is The One who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." Then they said, "Sir, give us this bread always!" I am The Bread of Life, Jesus told them. No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry and no one who comes to me will ever be thirsty again. But as I told you, you've seen and yet you do not believe.
John 6:34-36
Years ago a Christian singer by the name of Dallas Holm, sang a song, "Hey, I'm a believer now, since Jesus changed my mind." I will say the way The Messiah changed my mind was by providing the food and drink I longed for. The only word I can use to describe what He gives is, 'Satisfaction'. Christ Jesus met my longing desire for satisfaction, when I had it, I knew it and despised any and all 'poser' provision. The difference is easy to describe, A cup of His cold water or a mouthful of hot desert sand. His provision is and always has been the food and drink that only He can produce and provide, there is no mistaking or confusing the real deal because in The Messiah's own words, "There is no more hunger or thirst," just a satisfaction that causes us to share what He has shared with us. If you are a believer in deed, you are a sharing believer. You are either in or out. Hot or Cold. No middle ground.
Genesis 18:19, Luke 11:23
"Most people are bothered by the passages of Scripture they do not understand, but for me I have noticed that the passages that bother me are those I do understand."
