I will honor those who honor Me but those who despise Me will be disgraced. The eyes of The Lord range throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His.
1 Samuel 2:30, 2 Chronicles 16:9
When Jesus heard that they had thrown the man out of the temple, (the former blind man He had healed, who had testified on His behalf) He found him and asked Him, "Do you believe in The Son of Man?" Who is He sir, that I may believe in Him. Jesus answered, " You have seen Him, in fact He is the One speaking with you." I believe, Lord! he said and He worshiped Him. Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgement, in order that those who do not see will see and those who see will become blind."
John 9:35-41
There are a few phrases that are touted as signs and symbols of a Godly person to follow. 1) The person who pulls themselves up by their own bootstraps. 2) God helps those who help themselves. Neither one is found or supported in scripture. Just like the song says, "You did not wait for me to cry out to you, but you let me hear your voice calling me, You did not wait for me to draw near to you, but You clothed yourself in frail humanity". We can do nothing right without Him helping us first. "You can do nothing without Me. Lord, You have established peace for us, for You have also done ALL our work for us."
Isaiah 26:12-13, John 15:5
The Cross of Christ was not only a sign that our lord had triumphed, but that He had triumphed to save the human race. What about you? Will you be remembered for your devotion to Christ and your willingness to serve His cause with gusto? Do you live as though each day were your last? Father, may I never forget the agony Your Son endured for my sake, so that I might be one day ushered before Your throne. I pray that my life may be a daily witness to my devotion to You and that on the day of my earthly death, those who know me will celebrate Your triumph in my life.
