A Turn Never To Be Missed

Even now, this is The Lord's declaration, turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping and mourning. Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to The Lord your God. For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and He relents from sending disaster.

Joel 2:12-13

When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles; Brothers, what must we do? Repent, Peter said to them, and be baptized, each of you, in The Name of Jesus The Messiah, for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of The Holy Spirit. For this promise is for you and for your children, and for ALL who are far off, remote in time or space, as many as The Lord our God will call.

Acts 2:37-39

We all know the heartache of failure, because as The Savior reminds us through James, we all stumble in many ways. Many people are offended at being told they fall short but to a guy who found His only hope, salvation and redemption through this failing, like Paul, I too have learned to love my weaknesses as much as I love my strengths. We are told that many were offended at Jesus, this kept them from turning to Him, and He was amazed and heart broken that they refused to turn to Him. This realizing that we cannot make our life work correctly without Him is His greatest gift to you and I. When His disciples came and told Him that the Pharisees were offended with Him, it was not the being offended that was bad, it was being offended to the point of turning away from Him instead of turning to Him, that was tragic. Turning To Him is a turn that is never to be missed. Turn to Him and pray this morning.

Isaiah 1:18-20, James 3:2

We spoke for a long time. Then He asked, "Do you go to synagogue often?" "No", I replied. "Then how do you pray?" "From the depths of my heart and The Lord hears and answers my prayers. I do not read prayers written by other people." Most Jewish people and many others pray only from a prayer book. Use and pray your own prayer today, your Father wants to hear from you.

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
