A Good Drink.

Good news from a distant land is like cold water to a parched throat. A righteous person who yields to the wicked is like a muddied spring or a polluted well.

Proverbs 25:25-26

Those who are well don't need a doctor, but the sick do. Go and learn what this means: I desire mercy and not sacrifice. For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 9:12-13

The good news is we are sick and we know it. The Best News though is we know that our DOCTOR knows this and he has put us on His 'house call' list, this house call though requires not only His visit but for Him to stay with us. King David knew this well which is why He reminds us emphatically, "As for me, God's presence is my good, I have made the Lord God my refuge so I can tell about all You do." Is He your only refuge? Do you tell about ALL He does? You and I have no other good, no other means of being and doing good apart from Him, If we feel we can go it on our own then we are really in trouble. Jeremiah reminds us, "Cursed is the man that trusts in man, the man who puts his trust in flesh for strength, the man whose heart departs from The Lord." Stay close to Him. You are created to be a clear, clean, pure spring and well, when others spend time at this spring of salvation He has created you to be, they will feel like they have paid a visit to The Great Physician Himself. Help others answer His call by turning their attention to Him.

Psalm 73:23, 28, John 7:37-38

"If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk with others."

African Proverb

Make this far walk of life well worth it. Walk with The wise and grow wise yourself and be a good, refreshing drink for those who walk with you and... The One who leads you.

Proverbs 13:20, John 10:3-4

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
