Then Saul had his own military clothes put on David. He put a bronze helmet on David's head and had him put on armor. David strapped his sword over the military clothes and tried to walk but he was not used to them...He took his staff in his hand and chose 5 smooth stones and put them in his shepherd's bag and went out to meet Goliath...David said to him, "You come against me with a dagger, spear and sword, but I come against you in The Name of The Lord of Hosts, The God of Israel's armies--you have defied Him...this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or spear that The Lord saves, for the battle is The Lord's"
1 Samuel 17:(38-47)
But get up and stand up on your feet. For I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you as a messenger and a witness of things you have seen and things I will show you. I will rescue you from the people and the gentiles to whom I now send you, to open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of satan to God.
Acts 26:16-18
The Savior tells us there is no such thing as a chance meeting in life and that our meetings are prepared by The Eternal Mighty One so His Name will be known, treasured and honored by many of those we meet. David, Paul...now you and I, so all the world will know. Always use His truth with confidence, Starting with the people you know and those you are yet to meet today. Every minute and every person is there for Him to use and continually use, as He still does through Paul today. His word, His message is alive and active and always will be, see it and Him that way today as we share and showcase His timeless love and truth in our lives...a perpetual Christmas.
Psalm 139:16, Ephesians 2:10
"Pray and read. Read and pray; for a little from God is better than a great deal from men. Also what is from men is uncertain and is often tumbled over by men; But what is from God is fixed as a nail in a sure place. There is nothing that so abides with us as what we receive from God; Things we receive from God's hand come to us as truths from the minting house, though old in themselves, yet new to us. Old truths are always new to us if they come with the smell of heaven upon them."
