His Words....Never Just Words

These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them AS a sign on your hand and let them be AS a symbol on your forehead.

Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Let the message about The Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And WHATEVER you do, in word or in deed, do EVERYTHING in The Name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God The Father through Him.

Colossians 3:16-17

A terrible decision of immeasurable proportions is that of reading and hearing God's word and counting it the same as any other word that comes our way. Keep His word close, in your mind and heart so He will affect everything you think and do. The Eternal One reminds us that those who love Him and His words, will live by them, and live to the fullest, for eternity. That is a somewhat difficult concept for people like us who thus far have only experienced what is finite, not yet knowing infinite. Read the account of Lazarus and the rich man, a warning and a celebration depending on your reception of Him and His word. His blessing or His curse will overtake you and I, depending on how we recieve and obey or how we reject and disobey His offer of life and peace. As always the best part is no one can make your decision for you. My destiny is solidly and soley in my hands.

Luke 16:19-31, Deuteronomy 30:19-20

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

No one can make a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do little.

Those who do not know history are destined to repeat it.

Edmund Burke

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
