Because these people rejected the slowly flowing waters.... for both houses of Israel, He will be a stone to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Many will stumble over these; They will fall and be broken; They will be snared and captured.

Isaiah 8:6, 14-15

Go and report to John the things you have seen and heard...And anyone who is not offended because of Me is blessed.

Luke 7:21-23

Many, many people around the globe are offended because of Christ Jesus, The Savior. If and when I say 'NO' to Him on any matter He tells me, when I hear and see others doing what He told me, I will be offended OR I'll amend my ways. King David remind us that God's commands are our counselors. "How can there be only One way to salvation, just Jesus?! How about all the others?" When you follow His commands and His counsel, no one has to tell you that you are doing the right thing, He will tell you because He is your parent and He is your friend. This is why God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble...He knows that we oppose ourselves when we oppose Him and as we oppose Him, we teach others to follow our example. That would offend any true parent or friend, and He is both. Get excited that He is leading, watching over and protecting you. Never be offended that He cares enough about you enough to both counsel you and cross any line you draw and dare Him to cross that concerns your welfare that will keep your from stumbling, tripping, falling and being offended because of Him.

Genesis 4:6-7, Ephesians 6:1-4

"The Bible is a book of such transcendant worth, and so happily suited to all the parts and purposes of the Christian life, that it can never be too much recommended to the world.

The prophecies, instructions and histories that are contained therein will afford us an awful or a delightful prospect, depending on how we stand with Him with His lessons for special improvement. Here are laid up the true riches of a Christian and His highest hopes on this side of Heaven."

Isaac Watts

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
