Moses said to The Lord, "Look, You have told me, lead this people up but You have not let me know who You will send with Me, you said, I know you by name and you have found favor in My sight. Now if I have indeed found favor in your sight, please teach me Your ways." Exodus 33:12-13
Later the rest of the virgins also came and said, "Master, master, open up for us!" But he replied, "I assure you, I do not know you." Therefore be alert because you don't know either the day or the hour when The Son of man is coming.
Matthew 25:1-12
If there is someone's example I would like to follow, it is Moses. The Eternal One spoke with Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. I too long for Him to teach me His ways, I long to know and understand Him as much as I am able... life here is too short and the people too many for us not to know Him and be known by Him. Jesus tells us plainly that if we do what He commands us then we too are His friends. Years ago while serving in the Navy, I spoke with a chaplain, He asked what vision and plan I had been given for my future concerning The Savior. I told him and he shook his head and said, "Petty officer Carroll, that job does not exist in God's kingdom." Well It does now because I am living and doing it, that is the God you and I serve. God does not send you and I to merely lead people, He sends you and I to lead OUR people UP, as He teaches us His ways. After waking them up and fixing their focus. He has put your people, your country, your planet, your job, and most importantly, your relationship with Him squarely in your hands... now that is a handful that you can not properly deal with without an up close and very personal walk with The Eternal, Flawless, Mighty One, your Creator and Savior.
Jeremiah 33:3, Luke 12:22-34
The Bible has been the Magna Carta of the poor and of the oppressed. Down to modern times no state has had a constitution in which the interests of the people are so largely taken into account as that drawn up for Israel in the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Nowhere is the fundamental truth so strongly laid down that the welfare of the state in the long run depends on the uprightness of the citizen
