The Light

Light shines in the darkness for the upright.

Psalm 112:4

You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand and it gives light to ALL WHO ARE IN THE HOUSE. In the same way, let your light shine before men so that they may see your good works and thank your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16

For God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God's glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

Then Jesus spoke to them again: "I am The Light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will NEVER walk in darkness but will have the light of life."

John 8:12

This world we live in does have darkness, but not when it concerns God's people, His light surrounds them, the 'them' is you. Just as the pillar of fire led the way for Israel in the wilderness and as He reminds us that as He is a pillar of fire around Jerusalem and the glory within it, so He is for ALL who are devoted to and completely His. Never believe that darkness is some form of barrier around you. He promises to NEVER leave or forsake you. For those who reject Him and His offer of life and light, this darkness becomes a darkness that can be felt... now that is really bad! You are His light. Let His light shine today!!!!
