Jehoram was 32 years old when he became king; He reigned eight years in Jerusalem. He died to no ones regret and was buried in the city of David but not in the tombs of the kings.
2 Chronicles 21:20
One day Lazarus died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried, and being in torment in Hades he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off with Lazarus at his side. "Father Abraham", he called out, "have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame."
Luke 16:19-31
"He died to no one's regret"... that is the epitome of a tragic life... NO ONE'S regret, even worse God was disgusted with Him also. The same could be said for the rich man, here though we are allowed to see the impact and eternal aftermath of poor choices like these. An immeasurable and manifold regret on the part of the conspirators, those who conspired against the Lord by opposing His counsel and in so doing, opposing themselves. Always remember that to willfully sin against The Savior and those assigned to you, by despising His counsel, is to become your own second worst enemy. Take these warnings and terrors to heart and ask The Father to never let you forget this as you reach out to those He has assigned to you in His name.
Numbers 14:29-35, Acts 13:7-12
"The patriot who feels himself in service of God, who acknowledges Him in ALL his ways, has the promise of Almighty direction and will find His word in his greatest darkness,'A lantern to his feet and a lamp unto his paths. 'He shall seek to establish for his country in the eyes of the world, such a character as shall make her not unworthy of the name of a Christian nation."
Francis Scott Key
