Never a Step Alone

That night God spoke to Israel (Jacob) in a vision: "Jacob, Jacob!" He said. And Jacob replied, "Here I am." God said, "I am God, The God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt and I will also bring you back. Joseph, your son, will close your eyes."

Genesis 46:1-5

Jesus said to Martha, "I am The Resurrection and The Life. The one who believes in Me, even though he dies, will live. Everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die--ever. Do you believe this?"

John 11:25-26

When you are one of The Eternal One's Own, He will accompany and watch over you where ever you go and He will lead you back to the place He has prepared for you. Jesus tells us that everyone who lives and believes in Him will never die, EVER. True life really starts when we believe in Him. His company is incomparable, His Yoke is easy and His Burden is light, so life eternal is a joyful expectation, with so very little of His wondrous beauty seen or experienced in my short time on earth. I do love His constant company. He explains things to me as a Father explains things to a his child. I love that part but even more I look forward to our eternal life together, helping me understand the beauty of His creation and the treasured beauty of His favor. His companionship is the highlight of my life and I look forward to much more in every concievable way because each and every step will be taken with Him leading and watching over me. No down side in His company, because... never a step alone. Now that is the way to step into the New Year! In the past I would climb to the top of a tower or pole and say, "Thank You Jesus!!" Just like meeting someone for the first time, reminding them that life without Christ is no life at all. Like Christopher Columbus, (Christ Bearer) my confirmation namesake, I too was and am still, looking to show Him off and claim new territory for Him so they too will know the joy of 'Never a Step Alone'.

Deuteronomy 30:6, Mark 12:26-27

"O Lord, Almighty and everlasting God, by Thy Holy Word thou hast created the heaven and the earth and the sea; Blessed and glorified be thy Name and praised be Thy Majesty, which hath deigned (to think fit or in accordance with one's dignity) to use us, Thy humble servants, that Thy Holy Name may be proclaimed in this second part of the earth."
