Are You Willing?

For The Lord God, The Holy One of Israel has said: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quiet confidence is your strength. But you are not willing." You say, "No, we will escape..."
Isaiah 30:15
You pore over the scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, yet they testify about Me and you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
John 5:39
Over the years, as I have reminded and exhorted my people to pray for the leaders they knew as their own and also knowing these are assigned to them. Most were indignant and refused, like the scriptures above lay out, most are unwilling... for a number of reasons. We do, ALWAYS make time for the things we really enjoy doing, many things we are told to do are not only not enjoyable but difficult because of the way we percieve things to be. When God called Ananias to go and pray for Saul of Tarsus, he replied with many seemingly viable excuses of why not to go. God's response? "GO" When Jonah was told to go to Ninevah and preach, "Repent or else", he too had excuses. If you force God's hand, like Jonah, you may not like the result. Always remember His great forgiveness and mercy toward you and I in Christ Jesus, as He was walking the "Via Dolorosa" carrying my cross. Remember He too had one request, "Father, if You are willing, take this cup away from me--Nevertheless, not my will, but Yours be done." My prayer is that I have His strength, so I can be a true believer, a believer in deed, and go when and where He leads me, and finish my assigned work.
Psalm 40:7-10, 1 Timothy 2:1-7
"You cannot say, 'No Lord', and mean both words; One annuls the other. If you say no to Him, then He is not your Lord."
