King Jehoshaphat said, "Isn't there a prophet of The Lord here? Let's inquire of The Lord through him." One of the king of Israel's servants said, "Elisha son of Shaphat, who used to pour water on Elijah's hands is here." Jehoshaphat affirmed, "The Lord's words are with him." So they went to him. However Elisha said to king joram of Israel, "We have nothing in common. Go to the prophets of your father and your mother." But the king of Israel said, "No, it is because The Lord has summoned us three kings to hand us over to Moab." Elisha responded, "As The Lord of Hosts lives, I stand before Him. If I did not have respect for King Jehoshaphat, I would not look at you, I wouldn't even take notice of you."
2 Kings 3:11-14
Remember your leaders who have spoken God's word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Don't be led astray by various kinds of teachings; For it is good for the heart to be established by grace.
Hebrews 13:7-9
This Book of Truth, The Bible, is meant to be an up close and very personal lamp to our feet and light to our path, our Counselor. Remember WHO we stand before as well. There are many lamps, lights, counselors and paths to choose from. If we, like King Jehoshaphat and Elisha, choose to walk with the Savior, the author and sustainer of all wisdom and follow His counsel, guaranteed, we will grow wise. But if we choose to follow any other, suffering is guaranteed to follow and overtake us. The king of Israel was ready to surrender to the enemy and death, but Elisha and Jehoshaphat knew where to stand. The Eternal fount of wisdom reminds us all to carefully consider who we follow and in doing so, where we stand. Ask Him to lead you and follow Him as He helps you see and hear. In so doing you will help others in the Valley of decision to leave that Valley by knowing who to stand with, by knowing where to stand.
Psalm 119:24, 105, Proverbs 13:20, 1 Corinthians 15:33
While reading a book on the universe, I came across a section on the moon and how it's affects can make some people seem crazy, called Lunatics. "The superstition is widespread and ancient--even the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar imagined he had become a werewolf." I love our Book of Truth that brings this into its proper focus for us. Read about this and why it is really bad to choose the wrong place to stand in life and how ONLY The Savior can help us retrace our steps, make amends and get back to where we belong, in Daniel 4:27-37
