They bear their disgrace with those who descend to the pit. They are placed among the slain.
Ezekiel 32:25
No one lights a lamp and places it under a basket but rather it is placed on a lampstand and it gives light for all who are in the house.
Matthew 5:15
Choose today who you will serve, but as for me and my house (my place) we will serve The Lord.
Joshua 24:15
We all know what it means to both be a disgrace and to be disgraced, like Peter, disappointed beyond words. Our decisions are what determines our place in life, for eternity. In the Book of Ezekie and Actsl we are told that remembering our evil ways and deeds should cause us to do three things:
1) Be driven to our knees and push us to repent and ask Him to help us mend our ways.
2) Fill us with gratitude and love for The One who came for us because of our condition.
3) Stir our hearts and minds to long to share this good news with others. As Don Francisco sings, "I gotta tell somebody, what Jesus did for me."
All three of these places should be places we travel through but number 3 should be our permanent residence, in His company. This is Your and my Place...enjoy and share the love!
Like the Demoniac, David and Mary, I too need to spend more time at The Savior's feet treasuring His company above all others, watching and listening to His words as He orchestrates His kingdom. This is my place, I pray He is The Place you have chosen to live, work and retire also.
Ezekiel 36:31-36, Acts 2:37-40
Clergyman: "I hope the Lord is on our side."
President Abraham Lincoln: "I am not at all concerned about that, for I know the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this country should be on The Lord's side."
