Take A Bow

I will give You thanks with ALL MY HEART, I will bow down toward Your holy Temple and give thanks to Your Name for Your CONSTANT love and truth. You have exalted Your Name and Your Promise above EVERYTHING ELSE.

Psalm 138:2

The next day Peter entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter helped him up and said, "Stand up! I myself am also a man."

Acts 10:24-26

Keith Green made an album years ago titled, "NO COMPROMISE." The cover shows multitudes, all bowing down to a man being carried on the shoulders of his subjects. There are two things that are difficult to recover from in life, one of them is to bow down when you shouldn't, the other is not bowing when you should. King David, a man of distinction as one of God's select rulers tells us this in Psalm 62:9, "Men are only a vapor; Exalted men an illusion. Weighed in the scales, they go up; Together they are less than a vapor." Be advised that if you do not bow down to The Ruler of all things and His Son, The Messiah...by default you are bowing to someone or something else, that is a really bad thing! Remember this, there is ONLY ONE to bow to and ALL THE REST ARE NEVER TO BE BOWED TO, EVER! My devotion is reserved for The One who created me, cares for me and comforts me as He leads me along this road of life, that He prepared especially for me. It is for The Ancient of Days and His Son Christ Jesus, my Messiah, my Master and my friend that my bow, my allegience and my devotion are reserved.

Isaiah 8:11-13, Revelation 5:13, 22:8-9

I discovered that the idea of God is both a repository for our awestruck wonderment at life and an answer to the great questions of existance. Like Salman Rushdie, I too came to realize the ultimate futility of "the idea that men and women could ever define themselves in terms that exclude their spiritual needs," Leading me to the Christian faith as a philosophy of life, not a religion."

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
