Listen to Me, house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been sustained from the womb, carried along since birth. I will be the same until your old age, and I will hold you up when you turn gray. I have made you and I will carry you; I will carry you and save you. Who will you compare Me or make My equal? Who will you measure Me with so that we should be like each other?
Isaiah 46:3-5
Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
The Savior gives me His spirit so I can speak a word of comfort to those who are weary. I can only speak a word of comfort because He comforts me first. The Savior always leads by example, then expects me to do the same. When you find yourself tired and faltering, look to and go to The Rock from which you were cut. We are told God doesn't lie or change His mind because He is not a man. I have had my fill of promises not kept from others, this is why I crowd the Savior because only He can help me be the man I know I must be and to give Him no rest. He is always at rest and is the only source of satisfying rest and company to be found. If we know this comforting Rock of Ages, it will show. We will find His rest in the middle of the storms He leads you to and through. Go to The Rock of Ages and take your stand with The One who takes His stand with you.
Jeremiah 31:25-26, Mark 6:31
When President Harry Truman took office in 1945, he said this: "At this moment I have in my heart a prayer. I ask only to be a good and faithful servant of my Lord and my people."
