I rejoice in the way revealed by Your decrees as much as in all riches. I will delight in Your Statutes; I will not forget Your word. Though princes sit together speaking against me, Your servant will think about Your statutes; Your decrees are my delight and my counselors.
Psalm 119:14-16, 23-24
In that same hour He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, "I praise and thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth because You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and have revealed them to infants. Yes Father, because this was Your good pleasure."
Luke 10:21
King David rejoiced in the way God revealed Himself and His plans for him, even as he knew his enemies were making plans and scheming against him, just as they do with you and I. Storms in life are a constant and if we know to cast our cares, worries and fears on Him, this is a huge help. But to have His Promise revealed to you in such a way that it and He become your greatest earthly possession... Now that my friend is really living. Christ Jesus came so that even though stress and trouble are constant in life, they are rendered powerless as they are swallowed up and neutralized by the Peace of Christ that passes ALL understanding.
Psalm 112, Philippians 4:4-8
"Christian answered apollyon (the devil), "What I promised you was before I was of age: Besides that, I count that The Prince under whose banner I now stand is able to absolve me, yea, and to pardon also what I did as to my compliancy with you. And besides, oh destroying apollyon, to speak truth, I like His service, His wages, His servants, His government, His company and country better than yours. Therefore leave me alone, I am His servant and I will follow Him."
