Enough?... Absolutely!!

Listen to what I say: If there is a prophet among you from The Lord, I make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in and entrusted with My household. I speak with him directly, openly, and not in riddles; He sees the form of The Lord.

Numbers 12:6-8

As He was saying these things, many believed in Him. So Jesus said to the Jews who believed Him, "If you hear My words and obey them, you really are My disciples. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free."

John 8:30-32

This is what I call a 'Celestial Slap down' that is followed by a hand up. This is not really about faithfulness as much as it is about a devotion to the only thing, the Only One in life who warrants your devotion and faithfulness. Miriam and Aaron learned a hard lesson here yet The Savior is quick to remind us that to know and be devoted to Him, The Truth, this is enough to satisfy His desire and fill your hunger and thirst. David reminds us that The Eternal One alone can satisfy, this yearning, longing desire we all have. When He is all you have, you will find He is all you need and all you ever really wanted, how cool is that?! Enough? Absolutely!!

Psalm 103:1-5, Acts 2:41-47

In 1668, Rembrandt retold the story of the prodigal son with paint instead of words. In the painting, a father robed in red leans over his son, drawing him close to his chest. If you look closely, the son's body tells a story... He went out rich with his father's wealth to overcome the world, yet the world overcame him. He has come home. But he faces the question, "Can you really begin again?" The Prodigal, you and I are proof of and the answer to this question. Is The Savior and His promise enough? ABSOLUTELY!!!!

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
