Come let us return to The Lord. For He has torn us, and He will heal us; He has wounded us, and He will bind up our wounds. He will revive us after two days and on the third day He will raise us up so we can live in His presence. Let us strive to know The Lord. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like rain, like the spring showers that water the land.
Hosea 6:1-3
Not that I have already reached the goal or am already fully mature, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead. I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:12-14
There are many things and people that try to keep us from doing what we know we are called to do, trying to keep us from being the people we know we are called, commissioned and appointed to be. Jesus tells us plainly that His sheep hear His voice, if you are one of His, you hear His voice. Obeying... that's your call. Opposition to doing what God calls you to do is a constant in life but so is The Savior's promise to empower, protect and lead you as you follow His instruction. No one and no thing can pull you from Him if you have chosen to heed His call. Keep moving forward, pushing forward and Christ will give the enemy no quarter, no foothold and no victory in your life. We see and hear Him day by day, so step by step, we stand up and push forward, to Him, through the crowd.
Exodus 23:20, Mark 5:25-34
Imagine the routine. The Israelites would go out and collect their food for the day. Manna, His provision. This is how God nourished their bodies and their souls. What happens when you wake up everyday to find that your food is a gift from God? You trust God's word and depend on His care. God has not changed. He still wants to be in relationship with His people. Every day.
