In the camp, they were envious of Moses, The Lord's holy one... So He said He would have destroyed them if Moses His chosen One had not stood before Him in the breach and turned away His wrath from destroying them.

Psalm 106:16, 23

When Jesus had washed their feet and put on His robe, He reclined again and said to them, "Do you know what I have done for you? You call Me Teacher and Lord. This is well said, for I am... for I have given you an example that you should do just as I have done for you."

John 13:12-15

I am told in Ezekiel that God sought for a man to stand in the gap/breach before Him so He would not be forced to destroy the land. When Jesus asked the question, "Do you know what I have done for you?", He is asking you as well. Do you know what He has done for you? What He wants to do for you? Do you know what is expected from you In response? He is my teacher and Lord only if I listen and obey. Today try to stay focused on all He has done for you, and give a lot of thought and prayer to how you will respond? Will you follow His lead? Moses did well, Christ Jesus can ONLY do well. Now it is my turn... and yours, on how we follow His lead. Every generation has been tested. Every person will be tested, salted with fire, His fire.

Deuteronomy 4:24, Luke 24:25-27

The civil war was sobering for the country as a whole. It caused Americans to fear the great experiment in nation building could implode, that the light on a hill was about to be blown out. Was this punishment or a trial? The response of Dr. Charles Spilman a doctor in Harrodsburg, Tennessee was typical: "The political horizon is dark, the clouds lower, the heavens black with conflicting elements. He alone who rides upon the whirlwind and directs the storm can guide the ship of state safely through the breakers. My trust is in Him and my petitions hourly directed towards His mercy seat."

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
