He had said this to them: "This is a place of rest, let the weary rest; This is the place of repose" But they would not listen... Therefore The Lord God said: Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; The one who believes will be unshakable.

Isaiah 28:12, 16

When Jesus saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were weary and worn out, harried and harassed like sheep without a shepherd. The harvest is abundant but the workers are few.

Matthew 9:36-37

We have a choice. Every day, we must choose who we will listen to and believe by our decisions and actions. We can listen to and obey The shepherd of our souls and be unshakable on His sure foundation, by heeding His instruction or we can be sick, fearful, weary and worn out because we do not listen and obey. Wonderful advice is only wonderful to those who order their steps accordingly, but NEVER wonderful for those who choose to disobey by ignoring Him.

Joshua 24:15, Mark 6:6

"If we work on marble, it will perish; If on brass, time will efface it; If we rear up temples, they will crumble into the dust; But if we work on our immortal minds and imbue them with the principles, with the just fear of God and the love of our fellow man, we engrave on those tablets that which will not fade through all eternity."

Daniel Webster

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
