Surrounded?
When the servant of the man of God got up early and went out, he discovered an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. So he asked Elisha, "Oh my master, what are we to do?" Elisha said, "Don't be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them."
2 Kings 6:16
One of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came and when he saw Jesus he fell at His feet and kept begging Him, "My little daughter is at death's door. Come and lay Your hands on her so she can get well and live", so Jesus went with him...People came from the synagogue leader's house and said, "Your daughter is dead, why bother the teacher anymore." But when Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader, "Don't be afraid, only believe."
Mark 5:21-24, 35-43
We live in times that are best described as an emotional rollercoaster... but not for everyone. The Savior personified God's power and confidence. David put it like this, "Though an army deploy against me my heart is not afraid; Though war break out against me, still I am confident." Another one of my foundational favorites, "He will not fear bad news, his heart is confident, trusting in The Lord." We are surrounded in life, just like Elisha, David and Jairus, but what are you doing with this burden and where is your focus? "Cast your burden on The Lord and He will support you: He will never allow the righteous to be shaken."
Psalm 27:3, 55:22, Matthew 13:22-23
God's gift of true salvation is freedom, purpose and life in three dimensions . It includes your past, your present and your future.
