He established a testimony in Israel, which He commanded our fathers that they should make them known to their children; That the generation to come might know them, the children who would be born, that they may arise and declare them to their children. That they might set their hope in God and not forget His wonders and works.

Psalm 78:5-7

Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray but the disciples rebuked them. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me and do not forbid them."

Matthew 19:13-14

Volunteering in a dental clinic yesterday. I find many opportunities to share, pray and give Christ and His word a chance to bring peace, light, comfort and stability to many who are harried, harassed, weary, burdened, and afraid. Two in particular, a young brother and sister, Martin and Kayla. We talked, played a game, made a puzzle and prayed before they went in for their cleanings. As they were going in Kayla came over and said, "Ken, I just want to thank you for being so nice to me and my brother." I told her Jesus took special time with children. He tells her to ask Him for help and tells old buzzards like me, if we are not more simple, fun loving and nicer like little kids by believing Jesus and treating others like He did then He wouldn't let us play with Him. I reminded them that they should feel very special because Jesus says they are. Today try to focus on the little ones and let Him touch them through you.

Proverbs 4, Matthew 18:1-7

Unusual for a churchman of his time, Newton paid particular attention to children and wrote special songs for them. The extent of his concern can be shown by a letter he wrote, "I hope your nephew engages in good bodily health and his soul is nourished and refreshed. Though he lives in a spiritually barren land, I trust he finds that The Lord can open springs and fountains in the wilderness. The word of Grace and throne of Grace afford wells of salvation, from which he cannot be barred.

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   Matthew 28:16-20
