Do You Know?

If anyone boasts, they should boast in this, that they know and understand Me -- That I am Yahweh, showing faithful love, justice and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things. The days are coming when I will punish all the circumcised who really uncircumcised.
Jeremiah 9:24-25
Jesus told them, "Are you not deceived because you don't know the scriptures or the power of God?"... He is not the God of the dead but of the living. You are badly deceived."
Mark 12:24-27
Myopic is a word not heard a lot but is pivotal in The Christian life. Myopic: "Unable or unwilling to act prudently, shortsighted, lacking understanding or narrow minded due to not being able to or not being willing to understand the Truth", people are rendered ineffective and unproductive by their decision to settle for less than The Truth. In the first scripture God's displeasure with those who know who they are supposed to be, yet refuse to be is made clear in no uncertain terms. In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, the servant who hid his talent instead of putting it to good use in defiance of his Master's desire is made easily understandable as well. If we know what to do and we choose not to, I will use a Naval terminology here, "Better batten down the hatches", which means to secure a ship because rough weather is coming. Rough weather is a sure thing in life, but should never be the result of our refusing to follow The Saviors commands and counsel. Like the house in the parable of the wise builder, we follow The Savior's commands and counsel. We will either be a great example because we know or a terrible warning because we choose our own way in defiance to Him. I know you know this, so what are you going to do?
Ezekiel 33:11, Matthew 7:24-27
"We fear men so much because we fear God so little. One fear cause another. When man's terror scares you, turn your thoughts to the wrath of God."
